Collection, 1856-1960. The collection includes the family papers of Owsley, her parents, William B. and Caroline Tower Heath, her father, Alfred Heath, William's parents, Angelo E. and Abbie Lovell Tower, and Abbie's siblings, Louis S. and Nellie Lovell (Mrs. John Thompson). Also included are the papers of Ada's sister, Margaret, her husband, Maxwell H. Webber, and his father, George W. Webber. Business records of these families are part of the papers and include: Webber Road Construction Company, Tower and Thompson Lumber Company, Webber Block papers, and Webber and Wilson (George W. Webber and H.J. Wilson)'s mercantile business. Also included are records of the U.S. Post Office (Ionia), as Angelo E. Tower was postmaster there 1886-1890. Except for legal records of William B. Heath concerning the Hotel Topinabee which was located on Mullet Lake near Cheboygan (Mich.), all the papers document history and genealogy in Ionia (Mich.). Ada's collection of children's drawings, art, and display materials are included in seven oversized, flat boxes.

Ada Tower Heath Owsley (b. ca. 1900?) was the daughter of William B. and Caroline Tower Heath. Ada served as a Red Cross Secretary in France during World War I. Her extended family lived in Ionia (Mich.). William Heath's father was Alfred Heath. Caroline Tower Heath was the daughter of Angelo E. and Abbie Lovell Tower.
